Henderson makes first Premier League start for Man United, Pogba and Van de Beek in

Dean Henderson will make his first Premier League start for Manchester United in Saturday s match at West Ham.

Henderson replaced David de Gea at half-time during last weekend s 3-2 win at Southampton and, although the De Gea was fit to play in the midweek Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain, the Spain international is not in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer s matchday 18 at London Stadium.

Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes drop to the bench, while Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek will combine in a midfield anchored by Scott McTominay.

Edinson Cavani leads the United attack, flanked by Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood, although there is no place in the squad for Fred after the midfielder s red card versus PSG.

Barcelona linked with shock Perez move

Barcelona are planning a surprise move for Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez,.

The Catalan club are on the lookout for a new forward who would provide back-up for star trio Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, who have eighty-three league goals between them so far this season.

Perez moved to St James’ Park from Tenerife in the summer of 2014 and has so far racked up seventy-two appearances in all competitions scoring thirteen goals, all of which have come in the Premier League.

The North East club paid just £1.5m to secure the twenty-two year old’s services and owner Mike Ashley will look to make a substantial profit should a move to the La Liga giants materialize.

Newcastle are currently one point and one place above the bottom three and c…

Burnley´s Barton finally gets Championship medal

Joey Barton has finally received a medal following Burnley s Championship title success.

Outspoken midfielder Barton was voted Burnley s Players Player of the Year after a series of solid performances that helped Sean Dyche s men, relegated at the end of 2014-15, return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

However, the former Newcastle United man failed to receive a medal during a trophy celebration at Burnley Town Hall on Monday after an administrative error meant he and defender James Tarkowski were initially left empty handed.

Burnley later apologised on Twitter, and Barton refused to lift the league title at the parade, choosing instead to hold up an inflatable version he had procured from the crowd.

Betis in talks with Zaragoza over Garcia

Spanish first division side Real Betis are in talks with second-division side Real Zaragoza over striker Sergio Garcia, the club s official radio station reported Saturday.

Betis offered Zaragoza eight million euros (11.8 million dollars) plus another 2.5 million euros depending on his performance.

The transfer of Sergio Garcia is not dependent on the sale of any player, the club s main shareholder, Manuel Ruiz de Lopera, said.

Garcia, 25, was one of former Spain coach Luis Aragones surprise additions to his line-up for Euro 2008 which Spain won.

The player scored only four goals for Zaragoza in La Liga last season but ended in strong form even though this did not prevent the club from demotion.

Zaragoza have so far managed to hold on to all…

Messi: Barcelona´s Champions League rivals are PSG & Manchester City

Lionel Messi believes Barcelona s main rivals for the Champions League are Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City not Real Madrid.

Madrid face PSG in a blockbuster last-16 tie, with Zinedine Zidane s men seeking to lift the famous trophy for the third year in a row.

But Messi does not think Madrid lagging 16 points behind Barca in LaLiga will challenge due to their surprisingly poor form this season.

Manchester City are one of the strongest teams around, as well as Paris Saint-Germain, four-time winner Messi told the Mirror.

I also do not exclude Real Madrid in terms of quality and experience, even though they have not yet achieved the expected results.

Then there is Bayern Munich, another great team who will play until the end.

Conte hopes Manchester United bench ´fantastic´ Pogba

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte hailed Paul Pogba as a top player and revealed a desire to avoid his former player at Old Trafford on Sunday.

France midfielder Pogba flourished under Conte during their time together at Juventus, winning Serie A in both seasons.

But the 24-year-old has been less productive since rejoining the Red Devils for a then-world record £89million in 2016.

He was benched for the second time in three matches in United s midweek draw at Sevilla and Conte hopes he will remain sidelined for this weekend s crunch clash.

My expectation is to see him on the pitch. If he stays out it would be better, Conte told reporters on Friday.

Every coach has to find the right way to manage him.

I think Pogba is showing at United as w…
